The Physics and Astronomy Department at Rice offers several types of undergraduate majors and options to accmodate differing interests and career goals. Credit for some of these courses may be obtained by Advanced Placement, and students may also petition the departmental undergraduate curriculum committee to modify the requirements to meet the needs of students in special cases.

In addition to the departmental requirements for the major, all students must satisfy the university requirements for the degree as detailed in Rice General Announcements.
